Gimli first appeared at the Council of Elrond in Rivendell, attending the meeting with his father Gloin and bringing news about the Lonely Mountain.
Later, he joined the Fellowship of the Ring, initially clashing with the Elf prince Legolas, who was also a member. However, through mutual appreciation and respect, they gradually became friends.
Gimli showcased his brave combat skills in the Battle of Helm’s Deep. During the battle, Gimli and Legolas engaged in a friendly competition of killing enemies, with Gimli emerging as the victor (Gimli killed forty-two Orcs, while Legolas killed forty-one).
During their journey, Gimli and Legolas became inseparable friends, setting an example of friendship that transcends prejudice.

In the film “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring,” Elrond summoned representatives from different races to Rivendell for a conference, where it was decided that a Fellowship of nine would be formed to escort the One Ring to Mount Doom for its destruction. The brave dwarf warrior Gimli was among them.
Along the way, the Fellowship encountered numerous challenges, including seeking refuge in the mines of Moria to escape an avalanche created by Saruman. Inside the mines, they faced pursuit from the Orcs. After a hard-fought battle, they encountered a Balrog, an ancient demon from the depths of the earth. Gandalf sacrificed himself to save everyone and fell into the abyss with the Balrog.
The statue vividly portrays Gimli’s battle with the Orcs in the Mines of Moria, as depicted in the film.

The outer layer of the armor is carefully crafted from real fabric, complemented by leather-like belts and metal buckles. The shoulders, arms, and legs are covered in intricately carved textured patterns. The highlight of the armor is the hand-woven chainmail on the inner layer, meticulously created using pure manual techniques, providing impeccable details and texture.

The famous Book of Mazarbul, which records the Balin’s colony’s attempt to retake Moria, is sculpted on a stone-like platform. This historical document was sealed away in the Chamber of Mazarbul in Moria, near Balin’s tomb, until it was discovered by the Fellowship. Gimli’s other battle axe and the bones of an Orc are placed on the base, enhancing the overall atmosphere and faithfully recreating the film scene. The cobwebs covering the base are made of silk threads, allowing you to decorate them as you please, creating a more immersive experience. The bottom of the base features dwarf-specific decorative motifs, and the overall stylized design enhances the character’s expressive power.

Weapons are a warrior’s best friend. In the film, Gimli carries multiple battle-axes. Therefore, we have created three axes from the film for the 1/2 scale Gimli statue, including two hand axes and one throwing axe. The throwing axe can be easily interchanged between hands and waist, allowing for versatile display options.
We will continue to release more 1/2 Scale Statues of “The Lord of the Rings” series for our beloved collectors.
